Scott quoted, "I played 2 seasons of High School ball at Bushnell-Prairie City High School. I found out about the 8FL in 2004 from Eric McKee, and helped Terry Allen start the Bushnell Warriors in 2006. Played for BNW from 2006-08, and helped Coach in 2009."
He had the privilege to play in the 8FL for 4 seasons. Accolades include the following: 2009 League MVP, 2008 Conference MVP, 2005 League MVP, 4-time all-star. Played for Farmington Team Renegade in 2005, Springfield Stallions in 2006, and Sangamon County Seminoles in 2008 and 2009.
Dom quoted, "Playing in the 8FL helped me grow as a player, and a person. And I will always cherish the memories and friends I was fortunate enough to make in my time with the league. I've also played on a professional indoor level in the CIFL, UIF, and APFL. Any success I was fortunate to have was always based on the talent of my teammates surrounding me, and I am thankful that I was blessed enough to always have such great players lining up on the same side as myself!"
Neal Taylor played football 2 years in junior high, 4 years in high school and 4 years in college.
Neal quoted, "Been coaching high school football for 21 years. Been a Head Coach (2 schools) or an Asst. with 13 playoff teams and 3 being state champions. Every defensive record at Southeast HS was set while I was a Defensive Coordinator plus most of the offensive records. Coached in 6 All-Star games. Been a Defensive Back coach and Special Teams Coordinator at Sacred Heart Griffin for the past 5 years and still am. Followed the Capital City Outlaws 11 man team and then found the 8FL. I'm just a football junkie with literally dozens of former players and students playing, and I really enjoy going to watch them play. Pete Symsor was one of my favorite players and I started going to his games and i got hooked.

LAST MEETING: WEEK 10, 05/23/2010- QUINCY SPARTANS 25, BUSHNELL WARRIORS 12 |
American Conference Championship Game |
PANEL TEAM |
Fayhee: The third time's the charm this year for BNW, and everything is on the line in this one. Will the Warriors be at full strength? Can QCY capitalize on the home field advantage? BNW's roster is full of veterans who know how to find ways to win big games. Josh Derry continues to shine when it matters this week, as Coach King has the Warriors ready to get that first win over QCY this year. Craig Moore has a big game for QCY, but it isn't enough as BNW pulls off the upset. Bushnell Warriors 28, Quincy Spartans 24 |
Salvo: No comment. Bushnell Warriors 32, Quincy Spartans 30 |
Taylor: Third game rematch with everything on the line this week. A really close game the first time and a not so close game the second time around. QYS must remain dominating at the LOS like they have been all year on both sides of the ball. I think Lewton will get the Spartans back to the title game again this year. Quincy Spartans 34, Bushnell Warriors 24 |
|
MEMBER TEAM |
Gillespie: It's hard to beat a team 3 times in one year. With that being said if Bushnell travels as light as they did last week, look for Quincy to put up big numbers! Quincy Spartans 60, Bushnell Warriors 24 |
Luck: The game’s going to be a scorcher. American Championship is LITERALLY on the line. Who will take that crown and advance on to Super Sunday X against the National Champions. It’s going to be a déjà vu all over again from the past year when they met for the 2009 American Championship Game. Seeing that Quincy have their SCORCHING season, including holding a new record for highest game score, I can say with total certainty that Quincy will take home the NCC and advance to Super Sunday X. Quincy Spartans 32, Bushnell Warriors 24 |
PhotoGuy: Two teams that know each other very well. Quincy won the first contest between the teams at Quincy in a game that started out with three inches of snow on the field and ended with three inches of mud. Passing games were pretty well non-existent and it was nearly impossible to run in the second half. The second game, at Bushnell, was the last game of the regular season, and had no playoff implications. Quincy won that game again, although both teams were missing several starters including Quincy's QB Craig Moore for a half... Quincy won that one by a the margin of a couple scores. Last week BNW traveled to TZT and beat the Tigers on the road, despite having a very small squad on hand and a lot of "ironman" in the heat. If BNW wants to beat QYS, they are going to have to travel better than that. Quincy will be at home and have 30+ guys dressed for the game and ready to play. Their game plan should be to try to stop BNW QB Josh Derry cold. Stop Derry and you stop BNW. BNW needs to show up with a full team and not expect to beat the Spartans with half their squad playing ironman this week. BNW's game plan has to be to try to use their talented line to open holes for Derry and the RB's, and give Derry time to find any receivers that can get open. On D, they will rely on their excellent LB corps to try to contain Moore and Quincy's fleet of running backs. The verdict: Barring a rash of Spartan turnovers, I don't think this game is going to be all that close. As much as I admire what BNW has done this year, I think QYS drops the hammer on BNW. LAST MEETING: WEEK 10: 05/23/2010, SANGAMON COUNTY SEMINOLES 32, DECATUR RAGE 18 |
National Conference Championship Game |
PANEL TEAM |
Fayhee: GAME OF THE WEEK. This is another matchup of a team trying to beat another team for the third time in a season. It seems like SCS just might have DRG's number though. IS Koster at 100%? Can the Rage D find a way to force some turnovers and keep the SCS O off the field? One thing for sure with the Rage, Kime will have his boys focused and ready for the big game. Something tells me that SCS will use the experience factor to end the Rage's impressive inaugural season. Sangamon County Seminoles 42, Decatur Rage 34 |
Salvo: No comment. Sangamon County Seminoles 40, Decatur Rage 32 |
Taylor: GAME OF THE WEEK. Another t third game rematch with everything on the line this week. SCS with an easy win in the first match and a win in a heated battle the second time. Topps is really fun to watch. If not for his "fumble recovery" last week, I think CCO may have held on to win that game. I feel that that was the back breaker last week. Sangamon County Seminoles 37, Decatur Rage 31 |
MEMBER TEAM |
Gillespie: GAME OF THE WEEK. If the rage can establish the run early and pound the rock, I think they can wear down a small SCS defense. Likewise if SCS can turn this game into a track meet they will leave the Rage gasping for air. I like the Rage in this one. Decatur Rage 31, Sangamon County Seminoles 22 |
Luck: GAME OF THE WEEK.What can I say? Was expecting a serious rivalry between SCS and CCO in this game, even all SIX predictors were blown in their faces by Nick Kime when DRG defeated CCO by 19 points last week. Watch for dramatic climates between Pickett and Kime, Adeniji and Topps, McShea and Koster, Daniel and Carey- Those guys are show-stoppers. It’s all down to the STRATEGY and FINESSE. Both teams have ‘em, but who do I think will come out on top at this game? Hard to tell, but if Rage can contain the Seminoles the same way they did to Outlaws, Rage will get through. On the other hand, SCS did it all too well in 19 consecutive games. That’s HARD to beat. Nick Pickett and Michael Harris are the duo that made all possible. Kime, on the other hand, got his team to where he wants, and more. That said, it's a total Armageddon in the National Championship Game. Kime will come up short going to the Super Sunday X, and SCS will carry on to there. Sangamon County Seminoles 38, Decatur Rage 33 |
PhotoGuy: GAME OF THE WEEK. These two teams played at DRG two weeks ago to decide the conference That tells us that DRG has the talent to beat SCS. SCS lost to CCO, and CCO lost to DRG twice this season... and THAT tells us that DRG has the talent to beat SCS. The big question is, will they? Last week, DRG showed that they are not a one detrimental team as Mr. Topps ran wild on a tough CCO defense. Steve Daniel is my pick for league MVP, and DRG's passing game is second to none in the league. But... SCS is the king of the conference, has no real holes and is arguably both the strongest and most talented team in the league. SCS has beaten DRG twice already this season. I think this game is going to be a total war. The verdict: SCS wins at home in a very close game. Sangamon County Seminoles 36, Decatur Rage 34 |
